Red, White, & Midnight Light: A Fairbanks CommunityFest

Join us for a fully free festival Sunday, August 2nd in honor of America’s 250th, to celebrate the community we have built in Fairbanks and create a vision for our next 250 years.

11am-3pm in Griffin Park behind the Morris Thompson center.

There will be food trucks, kids games, community resources, and a limited edition beer made in partnership with Humble Roots!

Here is our stage schedule:
11pm- Starting at 11 is gentle yoga for all led by Fireweed & Cedar Wellness collective. Bring your own yoga mat or towel (45 minutes)

12 pm- Join us for a half hour Native Games Demonstration at 12pm, then try your hand in playing and trying the games yourself in the lawn until 3!

12:45 pm- Poetry & essay reading with NAACP 1:30- Come spend 30 minutes learning to Contra Dance with the Contra Borealis Dancers and Steve Brown and the Bailers!

2pm-Steve Brown and the bailers play until 3! Have some food and hang out/ dance/ and listen to music.
