Each candidate will visit campus to participate in a series of public events\, including open presentations\, faculty and staff meet and greets\, and student engagement sessions. Members of the university community and the public are invited to attend the candidates' public presentations\, which will be held both in person and via livestream. Her work emphasizes collaborative governance\, workforce-aligned program design\, and partnerships with community\, state\, and Tribal organizations. \n\nDr. Alvin Malesky Public Presentation: Tuesday\, March 31\, 2026\, at 8:30 a.m. Dr. Malesky is a professor at Western Carolina University and former head of the Department of Psychology. His research focuses on artificial intelligence and academic integrity in higher education. He is an award-winning educator and licensed psychologist with extensive leadership training and experience. \n\nDr. Carrie Baker Public Presentation: Tuesday\, April 7\, 2026\, at 8:30 a.m. Dr. Baker currently serves as interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts. A longtime faculty member in Theatre & Film\, she previously served as associate dean and department chair. She brings extensive experience in academic leadership\, teaching\, and the performing arts.\n\n**All presentations will be held in the BP Design Theater\, 401A Joseph E. Usibelli Building. Seating is limited.
