DESCRIPTION:CHRISTMAS IN ICE - MULTI-BLOCK ICE CARVING COMPETITION  Sunday\, Dec 6   Wed Dec 9\n\nWatch as teams of world class artists make beautiful sculptures from three blocks of ice. Competition ends on Wednesday\, Dec 9 at 8pm and winners will be announced Saturday\, Dec 12 at 6 pm.\n\n\n\n\n\nOVERALL EVENT NOTICE:\n\nCHRISTMAS IN ICE - Christmas themed ice park and Elf's Icy playground.\nChristmas in Ice is an annual event that lights up the Christmas season in North Pole\, Alaska. This Ice Park features a Christmas-themed ice art competition during the month of December with sculptures by local and international carvers. There is a youth ice carving competition in addition to single block and multi-block competitions. Special events include a BP Picnic Under the Stars and Military Appreciation Day sponsored by Petro Star Refinery. See Santa on Christmas day\, and on New Year's enjoy hot cocoa and fireworks at our special family friendly event.  Our new skating rink is surrounded by castle walls built with the help of the 70th Brigade Engineer Battalion from Fort Wainwright.\n\nFor big and little kids\, there is the Elf's Icy playground with 100 foot ice slides\, mazes\, and twirlers. Indoors there are craft activities and special performers.
